OKIR: Mindanao State University, Marawi City, Lanao del Sur, Philippines; OKIR-The University Art Club. This is the only and the official visual arts club of Mindanao State University-Main Campus. It was founded on August 01, 2005. The MISSION: The club seeks to channel the energies of its student members through unifying activities committed to their creation as conscientious individuals sharing the same interest along with the apt manipulation of resource in the environment.The VISION: The OKIR envisions a service-oriented organization that would inculcate the necessity of art to every individual concern, a community of sensible members that would undertake prolific and inventive upshots, thus an outlet for self-improvement, and an avenue for the enhancement and fortification of nature. And the PHILOSOPHY: In it's belief that the youth are the hope of the fatherland, the OKIR lives with the ideals of being art missioners: as critics of arts, doers of arts and as artists themselves who will be using arts as a tool for communication, a personality development activity and as a test for communication building efficiency without destroying nature.
